Nightclub security has a surprising garden-gnome policy

I work venue security. Most of my shift is checking IDs. The memorable part is explaining that traffic cones, shopping trolleys and one full-size garden gnome are not acceptable nightclub accessories. People always ask like there might be an appeals process.
