Weeks of EMC debugging ended with four screws

Found the noise problem everyone had spent weeks debugging. A metal panel was loose, so its shielding connection was terrible. I tightened four screws and the emissions dropped back into line. The repair took less than a minute. Knowing which four screws deserved suspicion took considerably longer.
